Cats love birthday parties if they can wear a party hat

Mrs. Hodges had a birthday on Saturday. She has one ever year. This year she had party hats.

And I wanted one. Cats love birthday parties if they can wear a party hat.

Mrs. Hodges let me wear my hat while I took a nap in a sunbeam. She is very kind. She even cleaned all of the litter boxes on her birthday. Now, that is a true friend.

We didn’t play any games at the party. I was disappointed. At my birthday party I want to play pin the tail on the mouse and tag. A real mouse.

Would you like to wear a party hat on your birthday? Mrs. Hodges made my hat smaller so it would fit on my head.

I would love to give you my party hat. 

Yes, that’s right. An original hat worn my me, Pooh Hodges.

At the end of the day I will pick a random number to see who won the hat. I don’t have thumbs, so I can’t address the package or wrap it for you. But, I will get Mrs. Hodges, my typist, to send it to you.

Hello dear friends, I have chosen a winner for the party hat from the seven commenters below. The winner is La Mcoy and her dog Edelweiss: they will get the hat I am wearing in the photograph. I wrote about choosing a winner here. Cats have a hard time picking a winner.
