Martha the dog is a cats best friend

Today I took a nap in a sunbeam on Martha’s dog bed. The sun felt so warm on my fur.

When I turned around I saw Martha taking a nap beside me on the hard wooden floor. She looked so sad.

Martha has always been kind to me. When I was locked in the bathroom for two weeks when I moved here, she sat outside the door and talked to me. I had an ear infection and a bad cold. I wasn’t allowed to come out until I was completely healed.

Martha never chases me and she always wants to help me clean my plate if I don’t finish eating all of my food.

Martha is a good friend. I let Martha come on the dog bed with me.

The only thing better than a nap in a sunbeam is a friend to share it with.
